Rep. Don Lee (R) wants bad dogs to be "microchipped"

Perhaps the recent publicity over bad pit bulls is the cause of some attempts to put some legal leashes over dogs in the state.

In February, the House Agriculture Committee looked at several doggy bills, passing one (HB 1261) that was sponsored by Littleton's Don Lee. Lee's bill would require a dangerous-dog registry plus a microchip placed in those dogs to permanently identify them. The bill's next stop is the House Finance Committee.
